Welcome to my practice! Are you here because you struggle with painful emotions and sometimes it looks like you are losing control? You may feel angry, worried, helpless, sad, or lonely. Perhaps, you have been experiencing excessive stress trying to manage family or financial issues, a relationship, or a demanding career. I am a licensed clinical psychologist dedicated to help my patients relieve emotional suffering and live richer, more satisfying lives. I specialize in treating anxiety and stress management problems; trauma and post-traumatic stress; anger management; and emotional regulation problems related to Bipolar Disorder, depression, and other causes.



I believe no one method of therapy can meet everyone’s needs, so I employ a variety of cognitive, behavioral, existential, experiential, insight-oriented and solution-focused strategies based upon your individual needs and goals. I offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which is an effective treatment for emotional distress resulting from trauma and other disturbing life experiences. I use mindfulness, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy), which have been found especially helpful for treating anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. I utilize techniques from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to work with patients who have difficulty regulating emotions. In couples counseling, I use principles of Emotionally Focused Therapy to help change patterns that don't work and create secure and lasting emotional bonds between partners.

My goal is to work as effectively as possible, trying to make the most of each session. My patients have told me that, as a result of our work together, they felt more hopeful, more capable of mindfully managing their emotions and relationships, and more understanding and accepting of themselves and others.
