Perhaps you are here because you
feel not good enough, judged, or misunderstood. Maybe you feel overwhelmed by
the stress of everyday life, work, or relationships. Or you find yourself being
overly accommodating, trying to please others at the cost of your own wellbeing.
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist deeply committed to helping people find
relief from painful emotions and create transformative changes for more fulfilling
lives. I treat a range of concerns including attachment trauma/PTSD,
depression, anxiety, mood issues, and low self-esteem.
I believe that no single method of therapy can meet everyone’s needs. Therefore,
I integrate Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic, and Mindfulness-based
orientations depending on your individual needs and goals. I offer EMDR (Eye
Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an effective treatment for
emotional distress resulting from trauma and other disturbing life experiences.
Mindfulness-based and cognitive behavioral approaches, which are particularly
helpful for treating anxiety, depression, and chronic pain, are also part of my
practice. For patients who have difficulty regulating emotions, I utilize
techniques from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Additionally, I employ
psychodynamic, Emotionally Focused, and Internal Family System approaches to
explore and transform underlying patterns that prevent you from living a
satisfying life.
I bring a unique
perspective to therapy, drawing on my exposure to diverse cultures and my
previous careers in science, corporate management, teaching, and career
coaching.
In my practice, I strive to create a safe, supportive, and
encouraging environment. I treat you as a whole person, not just a set of
challenges. I am an engaging, perceptive, straightforward, and compassionate
therapist, balancing seriousness with humor. My goal is for you to leave each
session with something tangible to implement in your day-to-day life. My
patients have shared that, through our work together, they have gained
self-acceptance, freedom from long-standing fears and insecurities, and the
ability to successfully manage and improve both personal and professional
relationships.
In therapy, we’ll work towards a life where painful
emotions don't dictate your day, and where you can set healthy boundaries and
face life with openness, self-confidence, and peace of mind. Let's connect and
discuss how I can help meet your needs. Please feel free to contact me
